In 2004 kwam Bonnie St. Claire negatief in het nieuws, toen ze door de rechter veroordeeld werd tot 20 dagen gevangenisstraf omdat ze in 1997 voor de derde keer een auto-ongeluk zou hebben veroorzaakt terwijl ze onder invloed van alcohol was. Eerder had ze al een taakstraf gekregen voor het veroorzaken van een ongeluk onder invloed van alcohol.
In december 2004 trouwde Bonnie St. Claire met haar 19 jaar jongere vriend Arne-Jan Jongebloed. Bijzonder was dat dit huwelijk rechtstreeks op de Nederlandse televisie (door SBS6) werd uitgezonden.
In 2006 was zij hotelier in Hotel Big Brother.
In het programma Koefnoen wordt zij vaak gepersifleerd, waarin vooral het accent wordt gelegd op het vermoeden dat zij vaak dronken is. Tijdens het Televizier Ring Gala 2006 bekende ze dat ze de eerste keer dat ze de persiflage zag, dacht dat ze naar zichzelf keek.
Op 17 januari 2007 nam St. Claire deel aan De Nationale IQ Test, georganiseerd en op televisie uitgezonden door de omroep BNN. Volgens de test had zij een IQ van 52. St. Claire beweerde enkele dagen later dat de stemkast waarmee zij de antwoorden invulde kapot was. Volgens de redactie van het programma functioneerde het kastje echter prima, maar was ze vaak te laat met het indrukken van het juiste antwoord. [1] Op 23 januari maakte ze bekend nog een IQ-test te willen doen, om de eerste te weerleggen.[2]
Tegenwoordig is Bonnie wekelijks samen met Viola Holt te zien in het Tien-programma "Het glas is halfvol" waarin de twee samen feestjes afstruinen.
